The institute is a big editorial centre concentrated on primeval, antique and historical archeology; history of material culture, ethnography and ethnology and allied disciplines. For the need of functioning of 9 editorial magazines, 6 regular series and monographic publishers, there was founded an in-house publishing centre. It has at its disposal computer polygraph studies in Warsaw, Cracow and Łódź and marketing posts in Warsaw and Cracow. There is also a regularly printed books catalogue of the publishing houses, which can be ordered via mail.
